History
“Korchma Taras Bulba” is an international Ukrainian cuisine restaurant chain founded by Yury Beloyvan on March 25, 1999, in Moscow, Russia. The first restaurant was opened at 30/7 Petrovka Street and was thought to be the only one. The restaurant became so popular and loved that in the next 13 years 16 other locations opened in Moscow, and one in Kiev and now in New York! All dishes served in Korchma are of authentic Ukrainian cuisine, prepared with the exact recipe that was handed down for centuries from generation to generation, and now from our grandparents to our grandchildren. Each restaurant has a unique interior design that will make you feel like you were brought back a hundred years to a cozy Ukrainian home.
Interior
For the interior of “Korchma Taras Bulba” our designers used wooden furniture, embroidered towels, homespun carpets, tablecloths and valances, as well as elements of national antique items that are typical for Ukrainian rural huts. Konstantin Lavrov - the honored artist of Ukraine, designed the interior decoration. He was also flown to New York to design our new restaurant on 357 W Broadway Street.
Menu
The menu represents traditional Ukrainian cuisine: nourishing borsht with pampushki (garlic donuts), Russian dumplings, pancakes with various fillings, chicken Kiev (cutlets a-la Kiev) and many more. “Korchma Taras Bulba” offers homemade house infused flavored Vodkas of all kind, signature cocktails, wines, liquors, Russian Vodka and Ukrainian Gorilka.

Though I ‘am involved in many fields and constantly trying to perfect our businesses. I just want to be happy. And happiness for me is a harmony of creativity, learning, health, work and God. When there is a right amount of each, it brings harmony of life and therefore happiness.
I was born in 1966 in Kiev, finished school No.74. Unlike other children, I refused to get a higher education and a degree. I started working in 1983 and since then I have changed many jobs – from nurses’ aid in a hospital to an industrial worker to the Capital funds director in the Moscow bank. In 1999, I opened the first restaurant of our Ukrainian cuisine. Now they are eighteen of them. None of my restaurants were unprofitable; the biggest problem was in the unscrupulous landlords who have ruined many good businesses. We publish children's books, operate orthopedic charity funds and develop farming unit of 5000acres in the Ryazan region, Russia. Besides working, I love traveling – I conquered north and south poles, the highest points of all the continents (www.7summits.ru), I managed to ascend the mountain as high as 8,200 m (Cho Oyu in Tibet). In 2009, I joined the Union of Artists as a sculptor. I am also working as a professional photographer. I have two daughters and a son.
